Summary/Objective:
In this role, the Production Planning Manager will be responsible for business planning of all shipments for the facilities in the region. In addition, this candidate will also be responsible for running Cognos reports for each site and compare data to ensure all shipments have been waved in the organization. In this role, they will need to be able to adapt to a fast-paced environment and provide critical analysis of information. Candidate must possess strong problem solving, analytical, and quantitative skills. The candidate must have a strong Microsoft Excel background and be able to perform V-LOOKUPS.

Essential Functions:

  • Verify shipments for all sites in the region.
  • Run Cognos report for all sites in the region and ensure all shipments have been waved.
  • Ensure site reporting data aligns with customer totals and expectations.
  • Communicate daily goals and targets for each site. Communication must contain inbound and outbound daily expectations.
  • Complete Transload Onsite reporting data in excel.
  • Complete routine follow-up communication to obtain obstacles creating shortfalls and formulate recovery plan.
  • Communicate daily on planned empty containers.
  • Oversee billing verification, waving, and supply orders.
  • Support the CSR team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and deemed necessary by the senior management.

Required Education and Experience
  •  3-5 years of related business planning and dispatch experience in logistics field preferred
  • Must have strong analytical and research skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as good presentation skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a self-managed environment
  • Demonstrated ability to develop standard processes and related documentation
  • Strong working knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
