Summary/Objective:
The Slip Sheet Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently loading, unloading, and moving product using a forklift equipped with a slip sheet attachment. This position supports warehouse operations by ensuring accurate handling of customer freight, maintaining inventory integrity, and meeting productivity and safety standards in a fast-paced third-party logistics (3PL) environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Operate forklifts equipped with slip sheet push-pull attachments to load, unload, and transport products.
  • Handle freight utilizing slip sheets in place of traditional pallets.
  • Load and unload trailers while maintaining product quality and minimizing damage.
  • Verify product quantities, lot numbers, and shipping documentation for accuracy.
  • Perform inventory movements and replenishments within the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Stage, organize, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and warehouse standards.
  • Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory activities as needed.
  • Collaborate with warehouse associates, supervisors, and quality personnel to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Meet productivity, accuracy, and attendance expectations.
  • Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience operating a forklift with a slip sheet (push-pull) attachment
  • Experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, bills of lading, and inventory records.
  • Basic math and inventory counting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity goals.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions.
  • Ability to sit and operate material handling equipment for extended periods.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and flexible schedules as business needs require.

Compensation
$22.00-$25.00
